2011 Australia Day Test and Tune at Perth Motorplex

Australia Day 2011 saw a number of drag racing teams testing at the Perth Motorplex in preparation for the local round of the ANDRA Pro Series Top Fuel championship the following weekend.

2011 Motorplex Night of Fire

The first race meeting on the Perth Motorplex quarter mile for 2011 was the January 7th and 8th Night of Fire meeting. The feature for this meeting was a wheelstanding Holden ute, supported by Wild Mick Hockings' burnout ute and a full field of local racers.

2010 Boxing Day Nitro Funny Cars

When Christmas rolls around at the Perth Motorplex, the one thing on everyone's mind is the tradition post-Christmas meeting, featuring Nitro Funny Car match racing. This years Boxing Day meeting saw four Nitro Funny Cars hitting the Motorplex quarter-mile, producing some of the best Nitro Funny Car racing we've seen for some time.

2010 December 17th Fast Friday

Fast Fridays at the Perth Motorplex give the public an opportunity to watch both drag racing and speedway action at the same venue on the same night. For sportsman and off street racers, there's the opportunity to race for class and series trophies.

2010/11 Summer Drift Series - Round 2

Round 2 of the Drift WA / WA Sporting Car Club's Summer Drift Series for 2010/2011 was held on December 11th, 2010. The format of these events see's the cars hit the track for qualifying, and the field split into 2 seeded fields at the conclusion of qualifying. The seeded competitors then compete 1 on 1 and the losers are eliminated until we are left with a final pairing in each of the top and bottom half of the original fields.

2010 Golden State Titles

The GoldenStates is one of the biggest events on the Perth Motorplex's drag racing calendar and is a regular feature on the ANDRA Pro Series calendar for both Top Doorslammer and Top Bike championships. This years GoldenStates also featured a round of the ANDRA Pro Series Pro Stock Bike Championship.

2010 Armadale Auto Parts Open Day

The annual Armadale Auto Parts Open Day is a great opportunity to check out one of the largest hot rod, custom and street machine gatherings in Perth's southern suburbs. Al Smart and the Armadale Auto Parts crew, with the help of the Cranksters Rod and Custom Club close off a large portion of Gillam Drive for the show and are rewarded for their efforts with several hundred of Perth's coolest cars lining the streets around Armadale Auto Parts.
