Most people who come to this site, are no doubt aware that most of the photos on here are for sale. There are a couple of exceptions for legal reasons, but at least 99% of the photos on this site are available for purchase.

However, sales of photos alone doesn't keep this site online. Our traffic costs are constantly increasing, with traffic regularly hitting 70 gigabytes per month during racing season.

One way to ensure the site continues in it's present form, is to donate with PayPal.

Over the weekend, we had the Perth round of the 2012 V8 Supercar Championship Series. I shot the weekend from the stands, and got to spend the time with friends and family, which is something of a rarity in the world of motorsport photography. (It's probably the only time this year I'll get a chance to do it)


Friday was fairly wet, and saw plenty of cars heading off track, in particular on turn 7, outside the WA Sporting Car Club's clubrooms.


Garth Tander had a home town weekend he'd probably rather forget, with some unspectacular results and a first lap crash and fire on Saturday.

I've been a little slack in updating the front page of the website recently, but I've still been busy taking photos and uploading them for you all to enjoy. Here are a few recent galleries that people have been asking about.



The 'Shows and Cruises' section has been updated with photos from Motorvation 26 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), Hotrods to Hell at Devilles Pad and from the Burnout King and Burnout Masters events at the Perth Motorplex. The photos from the Cranksters Pipeline Picnic can also be found in the Cruises and Shows gallery.



For the drag racers out there, the Drag Racing 2011/2012 gallery has been updated with the photos from, amongst other events, the 2012 WesterNationals (Saturday and Sunday), the 2012 Nitro Funny Car Fury event, the 2011/12 Perth Motorplex season finals, Nostalgia Drags, ANZAC Day Holden vs Ford and a whole heap of Whoop Ass Wednesday and Fast Friday events.



I've also been busy re-sorting and uploading the photos from our 2010 USA road trip "The Bonneville Run", sorting the photos into galleries for individual cities and events, including Bonneville Speedweek, the ANRA Summer Nationals and the GoodGuys 24th West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton. I've still got a little to go with that gallery, but it's getting there.

Although I've gotten a little behind with the site news stories lately, the 2010-2011 Drag Racing galleries are complete, and can be found here.



The 2011-2012 season gallery is also well under way and can be found here.

Now a rather well established cruise on the calender of Perth's Hot Rod and Kustom scene, the Cranksters Pipeline Picnic heads out to Mundaring each year. The Cranksters pre-sell the majority of entries for this event to ensure that it doesn't become too crowded in the space around the Mundaring Hotel.



We headed up to Mundaring to check out all the sights of the Cranksters 2011 Pipeline Picnic, and you can find all the photos here.

Each year, the ACE Ford car club hold their annual cruise night. For as long as I can remember, this cruise has met in the carpark at Curtin University in Bentley. This year, several hundred cars took part in the cruise, which this year wound up at the Alcoa Social Club.



We tagged along to get a few photos of the participants at Curtin, at Alcoa and also on the Cappuccino Strip in Fremantle. You can find all the photos from the 2011 ACE Ford Club's Annual Cruise Night here.

Nitro Funny Cars shook the Perth Motorplex on March 19th, 2011. Four of Australia's toughest Nitro cars hit the strip as part of the Motorplex's National Open drag racing season.

The WesterNationals are Western Australia's larget Drag Racing event, and the largest 2 day drag racing event in the country. Featuring round of the ANDRA Pro Series Top Doorslammer and Top Bike championships as well as the Rocket All Star Series for Sportsman racers, this is an event not to be missed.

The annual pre-WesterNationals mid-week Test and Tune event is always a great day to be at the Perth Motorplex.

This season saw a new event trialled at the Perth Motorplex, the Western Bracket Bash, which was created to provide extra testing opportunities for teams before the WesterNationals, the biggest drag racing event in Western Australia.

The Speedaware Twilight Rallysprint Series is a series of events run at the Perth Motorplex with a sprint circuit making the most of the venues drag strip, pit area and access roads.
